About

Hello, and welcome to Rezolutionized, a blog about conflict, war, politics, social issues, and hip-hop. My name is Adam Ahmed.

Why Rezolutionized? I chose this name for my blog because I consider myself to be a conflict practitioner. I have studied conflict analysis and resolution, and enjoy discussing all of the many aspects to conflict in order to work towards a peaceful solution. Some of the topics of my blog posts will be causes of conflict, conflict handling strategies, and the de-escalation of conflict. I will try to keep my blog as objective as I can, though I am upfront with the fact that I believe that all conflict has the possibility to end peacefully, and I am a proponent of peace by any means necessary.

The other aspect of my blog is hip-hop. If you know me, then you probably understand why I am choosing to write about hip-hop. Because I love hip-hop, and all the elements of that culture as well. In addition to writing about conflict, I will take time to write my thoughts about current and past trends in hip-hop, as well as revisit and critique some of my favorite hip-hop albums.

A quick and short bio of me. I was born in Columbus Ohio, but soon moved with my family to the Washington DC area. From the age of five till fourteen I lived in France and Egypt. I moved back to the DC area for high school and college, where I received a BA and MS from George Mason University. I served in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa from 2011-2012. After returning to the US, I finished my MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. I am a fan of music, mostly reggae and rap, but I can get down to most music. I enjoy basketball, and support the Washington Wizards. In my free time I like to spend time with friends and loved ones, travel, make music, and get into adventures. Hope you enjoy my blog.
